The Ministry of Finance of Poland, the body responsible for regulating the gambling industry in the country, criticized the decision to introduce tax rates that are extremely high by all standards (online gaming and betting services are taxed on gross gaming revenue in most regulated European markets ).

The ministry made it clear that unlicensed operations would be extremely undesirable, and that any violations would be strictly monitored in the market. Those who are on the list will have access to their sites blocked by Polish Internet service providers.
