Restricted Casinos in Turkmenistan
In Turkmenistan, the law “On Advertising Activities”, which prohibits advertising of traditional and online casinos came into effect. This is written by RIA News.
“The law defines legal, organizational and economic bases of advertising activities in Turkmenistan and regulates relations arising in the process of production and distribution of advertising,” the newspaper writes. “In particular, the advertising of services of traditional casinos, electronic casinos and online casinos, pyrotechnic products, explosives and materials, weapons and military products is covered by the ban.” Its violation by the subjects of advertising activity entails responsibility in accordance with the legislation of Turkmenistan. In Ashgabat, the largest and oldest casino of the city is closed – in the Grand Hotel, which was opened in the middle of the 90s. Previously, the casino moves to the International Tourist Zone “Avaza”.
Let’s remind once again that in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, however, as in other cities of the country, there was practically no diversity in choosing places where you could tickle your nerves with casino games. But in 2012 the government decided to give up on this too. Thus, Ashgabat owners of casinos and nightclubs were ordered to close their gambling establishments and migrate to the west, or rather to the international tourist zone of Avaza, which was built from scratch near the city of Turkmenbashi (Krasnovodsk) on the Caspian Sea.
