Who’s Your Bet? International Gaming Awards Finalists are Announced
Gaming world has its own Oscars and Golden Globes. IGA is considered to be one of the most prestigious industry awards and its organizers work hard to deliver results. The 11th IGA ceremony will take place on February 5, 2018 in London. But the judges have already compiled the list of finalists.
There are lots of nominations, mostly related to land based gambling. So we are going to move straight to iGaming nominees.
Online Casino Operator: Videoslots, SlotsMillion, PokerStars Casino, Mr Green, Mansion, Leo Vegas, Kindred Group, and Karamba. You probably don’t know all of them, and that’s absolutely fine as there are so many gaming sites today.
Slot Provider: IGT, Microgaming, NetEnt, Play’n GO, Pragmatic Play, Red Tiger Gaming, Tom Horn Gaming and Yggdrasil. These are well familiar brands, except for Tom Horn Gaming. They all deserve to get that IGA statuette, but only one nominee will be selected. Guess who’s going to win?
Last year the winner in this category was Play’n GO. This year the competition is very tight. The nominees have released a lot of stunning slots, some of which helped expand the boundaries of this industry. Most of them have already taken home other iGaming awards in 2017 or have been shortlisted.
Microgaming, Play’n GO, Yggdrasil and Red Tiger Gaming have also a chance of becoming Innovator Supplier. Other developers shortlisted for this award are: Betconstruct, Digitain, Inbet Games and Playtech. It’s a surprise to see NetEnt isn’t on the list, considering they have introduced enough innovations in 2017, including unique spin mechanic in their Finn and the Swirly Spin.
Last year the award went to Yggdrasil. The company has pretty good chances of winning second year in a row. But history shows that since the time this category was introduced in 2014, no developer managed to earn the trophy twice.
Next year in February we’ll also find out who’s the best iGaming Software Supplier, who’ll take Mobile Product of the Year award and winners in many more categories.
