American Roulette

American-Roulette

Among the players American roulette is also known as “Roulette with a double zero”. In 1800, casinos have added thirty-eighth sector in the French Roulette – 00 – in order to get more profit. Currently, the house edge for virtually all bets is 5.26%. It is twice more than the house edge in European roulette. Furthermore, the rate “0-0-1-2-3” increases it to 7.9%.

However, such high indexes of advantage in the casino does not discourage players from playing American Roulette – this feature alone increases the level of excitement to attract more and more fans in this game.

  • As in Europe, all numbers in American roulette are distributed out of order and in accordance with a particular scheme: 0, 2, 14, 35, 23, 4, 16, 33, 21, 6, 18, 31, 19, 8, 12, 29, 25, 10, 27, 00, 1, 13, 36, 24, 3, 15, 34, 22, 5, 17, 32, 20, 7, 11, 30, 26, 9, 28.
  • Eighteen of these are red: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 32, 34, 36.
  • Eighteen of these are black: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33, 35.

“Zero” and “double zero” – 0 and 00 – are painted in green.

Another difference between European and American roulette (in addition to 37 against 38 sectors of the wheels) is that in the latter players get chips of different colors – each participant plays with one color of chips, which differ from the other players’ chips. It is done for the convenience of the players and the dealer.

American roulette rules are fairly simple and are the same rules as those used in the European version. From the very beginning of the game the dealer spins the roulette wheel and releases a small ball on it. Meanwhile, the players place their bets and wait until the ball drops on a particular sector. When the ball slows down, the dealer stops taking bets, and after the ball stops, announces the result. The winners will receive their payments, the rest lose their chips.

Thus, as in any other type of roulette, the player’s goal to guess where the ball will land, regardless of whether you are playing in the present, or an online casino, you are playing against the house, and do not depend on other players.
