Yggdrasil Announces First YGS Masters Partner
This March Yggdrasil announced their amazing YGS Masters programme. The developer invites other content providers to create games on Yggdrasil’s semi-open platform and under their supervision. These games are then supplied to Yggdrasil gaming sites. Great thing about this project is that invited developers will be able to access Yggdrasil’s unique BOOST promotional tools.
Today Yggdrasil announced their first YGS Masters partner, Northern Lights. This is a young developer launched last year by former executives of Barcrest and WMS. Their primary focus is UK market, although the company plans to distribute their games to various markets.
Northern Lights haven’t released any games yet, but their first creations are soon to be launched. Their team consists of experienced people who have participated in the development of many slot hits. So, it’s likely that we’ll have some nice games produced by this studio. Their Rocky’s Gold, which must be one of their first video slots, looks very decent.
There are no reports of which developers will be invited to join the programme. But Yggdrasil says that it’s going to be a “very select group of the world’s best game developers”. This is a great initiative that will make it much easier for smaller studios to produce and distribute premium quality games.
