Everything About Bets, Levels, Lines, Coin Values And Denominations

After reading the article in the blog about betting and the number of coins in the Starburst slot, I decided to write a more extensive article and consider all the famous developers in terms of bets, levels, coins and lines.

This article will be useful both to beginners and to experienced players. I will begin with the fact that slots do not have things like ruble, dollar or euro, they have a coin.

Netent

a. Currency

In most games from this developer, one coin is equal to 10-25 dollars/euro. Why is that so? It depends on how many lines there are in a certain slot. For example: the bet of 1 coin per line, the number of lines is 20, the total bet is $20.

This parameter is called “coin value”, usually in the slots from this developer this setting can be foundin the right part of the screen. In this case, the winnings will be displayed as natural, that is the money you got on the lines are your actual winnings. However, you can play at a lower bet and the value of the coin itself can be reduced to 0.1 coin, that is, to the 10th part.

In the same case, the displayed winnings must be divided by 10, since you play at 0.1 coins. The second setting (usually on the left side of the screen) shows the bet level. What does it mean? If you want to play at a bet more than 0.5 or 1 coin (depending on the casino), you can raise the level.

In the same case, if you play at1 coin, your winnings will be displayed as they are, even though you have raised the level. You can also raise only the level, but play at 0.1 coins, for example. In this case, the winnings will also need to be divided by 10.

However, in all slots from Netent there is a duplicate field that always shows your bet and winnings in money, not in coins.

b. Change in the number of lines: it is possible (with a decrease of the bet, of course)

Example:

Microgaming

Slots from this developer are made differently. Here there is a number of coins and the value of the coin. But whatever you set up, the displayed winnings will always be shown as it is, that is – the figure you see in the box for winnings will be credited to your balance. In fact, in the final bet no coins are shown, you only see your money.

  • Currency. The minimum bet for slots with 243 lines (non-linear slots) is 0.3-0.5 (depends on the slot).
  • Changing the number of lines in the non-linear slots: impossible.

Example:

Quickspin

In slots from this developer, the level of coin and its value are not regulated at all, you can only choose the bet that is fixed and ready. Winnings are always shownjust as they are, as it happens in Microgaming slots.

  • Currency. The minimum bet in in this developer’s slots is 0.25-0.5 (depends on the slot).
  • Changing the number of lines: impossible.

Example:

Amatic (Amanet)

In slots from this developer the level of coin and valueare not regulated at all, but you can only choose the bet. Winnings are shownin relation to what currency you are playing with. Let’s look at the examples:

  • Currency. The minimum bet in this developer’s slots is 10 coins, which is equal to 0.1 dollar or euro. This is because when playing $1 is equal to 100 coins, and the minimum bet is 10 coins, so 10/100 = $0.1. The winnings here are also shown not as they really are – it also needs to be divided by 100.
  • Changing the number of lines: it is possible, and in some slots –by tens of lines (with a decrease of the bet, of course).

Example:

Novomatic (Greentube)

In slots from this developer only the bet on the line is regulated, and the winnings will always be displayed as they really are.

  • Currency. The minimum bet in slots from this developer is 0.1 (10 lines x 0.01)
  • Changing the number of lines: it is possible (with a decrease of the bet, of course).

Endorphina

In slots from this developer you can change the value of the coin, so the winnings display can be different. If the coin value is 0.1 (upper setting), then the winnings and the bet should be divided by 10, since you play at 0.1 coins. If you raise the value of the coin to 1, then the display of the winnings will be as it really is.

The cost of the coin here is as in the slots from Netent: 20 dollars or euro.

  • Currency. The minimum bet in slots of this developer is 0.2.
  • Changing the number of lines: it is possible (with a decrease of the bet, of course).

Example:

Yggdrasil

In slots from this developer, only the value of the coin can be changed. One coin is equal to 20 dollars or euro. The displayed winnings must be divided (or multiplied when playing in rubles), if you play lesser then with a whole coin. However, here, as in the slots from Netent, there is an additional window, where the winnings are displayed as they really are.

  • Currency. The minimum bet in in this developer’s slot is 0.2 (20 lines at a bet per line of 0.01).
  • Changing the number of lines: impossible.

Example:

NYX

In slots from this developer, only the bet on the line can be changed. The display with winnings will always show them as they are, that is, when you change the bet, you don’t need to divide or multiply anything.

  • Currency. The minimum bet in slots from this developer is 0.25 (25 lines at a bet per line of 0.01)
  • Changing the number of lines: it is possible (with a decrease of the bet, of course).

Thunderkick

In slots from this developer only the bet can be changed, and in these slots it is only selected from the possible ones. The winnings are always displayed as they are, that is, you don’t need to divide or multiply anything.

  • Currency. The minimum bet in slots from this developer is 0.1 (depends on the slot).
  • Changing the number of lines: impossible.

Example:

Play’n’GO

In slots from this developer both the coin value and the number of coins can be changed. One coin here is equal to 10 dollars or euro. The winnings are not always displayed as they are. For example: if you play one coin and the coin’s value is 0.01, then the displayed winnings should be divided by 100, and if the bet is one coin and its value is also equal to one, then the winnings will be displayed as they are.

However, in slots from this developer an additional window is provided, where the winnings are always displayed as they are.

  • Currency. The minimum bet in slots from this developer is 0.1 (10 lines at a bet of 0.01 per line).
  • Changing the number of lines: it is possible (with a decrease of the bet, of course).

ELK

In slots from this developer only the bet can be changed, and it is only selected from the possible ones, as it happens with slots from Thunderkick. Slots from ELK are record holders in terms of the cost of a coin – here one coin is equal to 100 dollars or euros when playing in currency and 100 rubles when playing in rubles.

Winnings are not shown as they are. That is, when playing at $0.1, the displayed win should be divided by 1000!

  • Currency. The minimum bet in the currency of this developer’s slots is 0.1 (it depends on the slot).
  • Changing the number of lines: impossible.

Betsoft

In slots from this developer both the coin value and the number of bets per line can be changed. The winnings display is not always showing the amount ad it is. That is, when you play one coin per line at the cost of the 0.1 coin, the displayed winnings will be shown as they are, but at a coin value of 0.2 the winnings will have to be multiplied by two.

  • Currency. The minimum bet in this developer’s slots is $0.1-0.3 (depends on the slot).
  • Changing the number of lines: it is possible (with a decrease of the bet, of course).

So, I analyzed the bets, coins, levels and lines of 12 slot developers. I hope this article will be useful to many of you, particularly to beginners and especially those who are often confused in bets, levels, denominations, etc!
